- Artist Talk – Friday 16 May | 5.30 – 6.30pm
- Opening Event – Friday 16 May | 6.30 – 8pm
AVIAN ASSEMBLY invites deep reflection on the relationships between humans and birds, as well as the broader ecological systems that connect us all. As we look toward the future, integrating nature and society remains crucial to our collective vision for sustainability and ecological responsibility. This exhibition challenges us to critically examine the human history that has shaped our interactions with the natural world.
Through its works, AVIAN ASSEMBLY opens a space for contemplation on themes of kinship, freedom, and confinement, urging us to recognize the responsibility we bear in safeguarding the natural world for future generations. We hope that by engaging with these works, visitors will foster a deeper connection to the environment—one that extends beyond art and inspires action.
Join us at 5.30pm, 16 May before the exhibition opening to hear from artists Madeleine Kelly and Raquel Ormella. Book your place at our SACC Chat using the link above.
